It's only money, and time, and aggravation, and it's up to you.
So what if this car costs $5800, and needs another $4000 in a
month or three ?
You can just earn more and keep it fixed, so why be concerned ?
Just buy it if you want it, and you can always decide to dump it
later if you can't manage to pay for the repairs.....
Just as an aside, I used to have a mechanic that drove one of
these while telling folks that he hated it, and never to buy one.
Why did he keep it ?
Because folks kept getting estimates and decided to dump them,
so he would get them cheaply, and use his own labor to fix them !
In his own words: "I drive these because NOBODY WANTS THEM, and
I get 'em cheap, and I have the ability to fix them."
