If so, the simplest solution of all (which applies readily to a car of your vintage and mileage) is to continue to top off the coolant when called upon and just keep and eye on things. I wouldn't go looking for a problem if the car isn't running any differently.
Also keep an eye on the condition of your motor oil to make sure coolant isn't getting in there (evidenced by a milky consistency). That would mean it's definitely head gasket time.
See my response above regarding a rear main seal leak: to be a real Saab, your car must leak SOMETHING!!!
If the water pump's on its way out, it will usually drip from the weep hole while the car's running. You can see this from above. But any number of other leakage points can and do exist (o-rings where the water pump enters the front of the block, evidenced by a trail of rust down the block; transmission oil cooler lines where they enter the radiator on automatic cars; various and sundry hoses). They are almost always benign.
In short, if you've got a slow leak, I wouldn't do anything until it speeds up or the car begins to act differently. The odds of endangering the engine are slim to none right now. Or do a pressure test to find out the source of the leak and evaluate your options then. Above all don't panic.
