This happened to me - see the link below. Is the alloy flange which extends from the engine broken completely or is a piece left sticking out? If there is still a piece left with some thread in it (M8x1.25 thread) you can drill a little deeper and tap new thread in it. To access the area properly, you need to remove the front wheel liner (only the front half). If you are going to drill you need a right angle drill with a very short drill bit, there isn't much room there.
One of the main reasons for breaking is a too short serpentine belt or a seized pulley. Check that none of the other components are seized: alternator pulley, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, A/C pulley and water pump pulley, before repairing.
For the time being you can tension the belt with a rubber bungee cord. Attach one hook of the bungee to the top tensioner bolt (which is now loose) and the other hook to the sheet metal around the head light. Just make sure it does not rub on anything. I drove like that a couple of weeks with no problem.
