has its good side, which is that as Turrbo notes, the car probably hasn't beaten to death. But non turbo 9k's feel gutless to drive--I know, I own a '93 CS non turbo and just replaced it with a '97 turbo CSE. You can't pass on upslopes, and there isn't very much excitement to driving them. Just my opinion.

The thing that drives me nuts about these older cars is not just that the "big stuff," like clutches and transmissions, go bad; it's the non-essential amenities, cruise controls and heated seats and the like, that stop functioning. Believe me, unless you are an excellent mechanic, fixing things like cruise control will either cost you a fortune or drive you crazy or, most likely, both. The alternative is to drive the car without half the stuff working in it. How important this is is up to you, but I'd advise you to verify the condition of the heated seats, the cruise (especially), all the windows, the mirrors, and everything else. At least then you'll know.

Price sounds good.
