determining age of engine

I posted on this a few weeks ago... just trying to figure out if the engine in the Saab I bought a few months ago is the original. The odometer reads 357k, so needless to say I have reason to be curious. Either the odometer is broken, the engine has been replaced, or it still has the original engine and has just been pampered. I lifted the valve cover off to take a look, but I'm not sure what I'd look at for indications of wear. Here's a pic of under the cam cover, to my untrained eye it seems to have less wear than my 900 did with 174k on the clock.
