Its something major. Driving down the freeway in the 94 automatic 9000cs with 162,xxx at about 70~ usual speed and all of a sudden there was a rattling sound coming from the engine bay. Pulled to the side of the highway and took a look. No leaks that were noticeable. There were no check engine lights or any other warning indicators. There was no change in drivability. No weird sounds or pops preceding to give any hint of anything going wrong the only problem I have is a bad thermoswitch. All of a sudden there was a rattle that was very noticeable. Couldnt tell because of highway noise if the sound was coming from the engine or the tranny. The rattle increased with rpms and decreased accordingly. Any ideas what to check or where to start first?
Robert
