Like all cars, the 9000 has its problems, but they don't detract from the basic car and design. If you find the 9k of your dreams, be sure to read everything at quasimotors.com and be prepared to dump about $2-3 grand into it - unless you can do things like change shocks, struts, control arm bushings. I didn't hesitate to buy my 93 cse with 98,000 miles on it. But I had a list of things that would need attention, plus a couple of new ones because it's a 93. GM buying 50% of Saab in 1990 helped quality control and reliablity, and was perhaps a good thing. GM buying 100% of Saab was not a good thing. Buy an Aero with a button to turn off the traction control, and you should assume that the car has been driven harder than an average 9000. And, yes they are far more roomy that a 9-3, but they do not have cup holders, although Brookstone sells one that hooks into the AC vent and stateofnine.com sells one that hooks onto the door map compartment. The 2.3 turbo is an incredible engine.
