I tend to agree. Having owned a 9000, 9-3 and 9-5, the 9-3 is probably the least comfortable and has the most turbo lag of the three. I really like the 9000 for the hatchback design and frugal use of gasoline. Performance is about the same for the 9000 and 9-5. For roominess, the 9000 is the largest followed closely behind by the 9-5. A couple of things that I like better in the 9-5 vs. the 9000 is the quieter operating climate control system which are dual controls for driver and passenger, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel for better fit and slightly more compliant ride. But for the fun department, I like the 9000 the most. Easiest to drive and toss into corners plus the added benefits of simple upgrades to suspension, HP and lighting. For creature comforts, the 9-5 is on top. Good luck with your search.
