how do they get 8 or 10 speakers out of the system...do they count pair a coaxial 6x9 as 4 speakers...two tweaters and two woofs?

i got this responce from crutchfield a few minutes ago, and they claim the HK amp will recieve "high level" out put directly from a stereo speaker out put (no preamp)...anyone confirm this?

I'm sorry I didn't explain the installation scenario a little better. Actually, you won't be using the preamp outputs of the new receiver to connect to your stock amplifier. You'll still be using the speaker leads from the new receiver to connect to the stock amplifier. As a result, the stock amp receives a high-level signal from the new receiver, which is totally fine as the input voltage range of the stock amp will be compatible with the high-level output signal from your new deck. These speaker wires will transfer the music signal to your amp, which will then amplify this signal appropriately for the stock speakers. I hope that helps!
