Tracking oil leaks can be a little tricky, because oil tends to flow along surfaces and doesn't always drip directly below the leak. But the difference between the front and rear seals is big. If you see a drip near the middle of the car, it's the rear (transmission side) seal. If it's dripping by the right front wheel, it's the front (behind pulley) seal.

Just because the front seal is new doesn't mean that it can't leak. Seals can fail even if they are new. And when installing the new seal, it should be installed in a slightly different location than where the old one came out. That's so that the new seal runs on fresh metal. If it runs on the groove of the old seal, it can leak.

But a big question - how much are you leaking? A rear seal is a pain to replace. Depending on a lot of things, sometimes it's much cheaper to simply feed a leak. Now, if you're leaving a slick, or you need to keep after the oil level every other day to avoid running out, that's an issue. My folks had an old 99 (this was Looooong ago) that the dealer announced had front and rear seal leaks. It was a couple of drops a day, and the oil level was down about 1/2 quart every 3K miles. Those seals stayed in that car for 3 years, dripping slowly.
