Dan, does this have anything to do with the broken diaphragm on the dump valve? This issue sounds like a vacuum problem. Is there a way you can do a vacuum test or voltage test to see that the BPC unit is working? Does your Bentley manual or alldata.com have specifications/range that the BPC should be in? Do you think the barbaric banging could have caused any damage to the BPC? I would leave the “banging” to the apes. Good luck Dan! I hope you find your problem.
