Thank you and BrianZ for the pointers. I'll take a good look at the steering rack from the 94cs I removed. I know there is a collar bolt on the steering to remove the rack. But I remember having a tough time removing the sway bar even with the drive train already gone.
The entire drive train is still reasonably clean from good solvent and garden hose washes when I did the conversion so hopefully I won't get grime all over me. The crank pulley is in good shape. It also has new seals done during the conversion.
