Dear Fellow Saab Owners, I own a 1993 Saab 9000 turbo automatic 5-speed and much of nothing else. So I am attempting to do the repairs on my own. Problem: When I let out the clutch the drivers side wheel started to make like a grinding noise which has been getting worse. I jacked up the front of the car on jack stands. The passenger side front wheel spins freely without problem (good). But the drivers side front wheel would not turn (by hand). I removed the drivers side tire, disassembled front disk brake pad off of disk, blocked back wheels of car, put car in neutral, released emeregency break and still the front disk would not spin. So I got into the car and started it with the front of the car still jacked up, I put it in first gear, let off the clutch, and heard this grinding as the drivers side disk was spining intermediate at an idle. I checked the little dip-stick at the transaxle under the hood. It looked clean and hit the notch about a inch from the end. Sometimes when I start taking off in the car is when the growling noise starts and as I drive it seems to stop and drives okay at normal speeds sometimes but now has become much worse and louder. Questions: Is there a quick fix, maybe a simple grease job in the criticle areas? What is the valve that protrudes through the transaxle(it looks like either a grease fitting or maybe a bleed valve for the clutch)? And Most importantly what do you think is wrong with my car? Please Advise. Thank you, Saabing in Key Largo
