my message meant to say "anything NOT nearer than 1/8 inch". Hope that didn't confuse anyone.
Yes, JEM, I've had several 9000s that did seem to run fine in the upper half, never getting seriously hot. Some just run hotter than others, and as long as you're not pushing way up there consistently, I wouldn't necessarily go nuts about it.
