but I had no patience to spend any more time in such a cramped area. You'd have to be confident that whatever you put there won't ever become loose and get caught up in the pulleys/belt. Other than that, I think it's very possible to shroud the mount from above with a suitable material. (melt-proof silicone sounds good). Just be careful if you try this...
PS> If you're doing hydraulic mounts, I highly recommend a limiter mod of some sort. Mine wasn't aggressive enough, so I just retrofitted one, but it was a PITA. If/when I do the mounts again, I'll use solid. The shifter still lashed alot with all new stock mounts on my '93. Good Luck-AMG
