try this. get a spray can of carb cleaner, I like berrimans chemtool, find a vac connection on the intake plenum, remove the line, insert the wand and spray to a count of three, replace the vac line, and attempt to start. if it catches and seems like a start, and then dies, suspect ignition is ok and fuel supply is suspect. Sometimes the fuel pump makes it hard to start for some time (weeks or months) and then just stops working altogether. Assumption is the fuel tank is full? make sure it's more than just 1/4 tank.
