Of course people on the 9k BB are going to tell you that! But we also have a '96 900SE, so I can officially say the 9000 is better. For best reliability, stick with a '95+ model. A CSE will come fully loaded and FPT, but if you can get your hands on a fully loaded CS, it can easily be converted to FPT. '95+ will also be better for parts availability.
I like the 9000 more than the 900 because overall its a more solid car. Its faster, smoother and handles better (with some mods). I like it better for snow driving too. The interior is better quality, sound system better, more cargo space, and it will outhandle and out-accelerate any 900 on the highway.
Good luck!
