i did the same thing, sort of, but i started to drill out the torx screw itself after it stripped. but then my bit wasn't cutting and I haven't gotten back to it (still using old rotor). as far as i know you don't need that little screw (the pin that helps you place the rim on does the same job) and once the 4 wheel lugs are on, it's moot anyway. my thought is drill out the head, then pull the rotor, and put on the new one and go like that. when i bought my 93, it didn't have screws to hold on the front rotors and i never replaced them, so far no issues.
