the more i own saabs, and the longer i own saabs, the more i am starting to think like a saab mechanic, which is to replace all the related parts at the same time because they all are going to fail
obviously, do all the pulleys now, they aren't expensive (excluding $170 crank pulley). anyway...
QUESTION: both the tensioner on my 92 and 93 9000s seem to keep decent tension on the belt, though perhaps not as much as i'd like, although i'm not sure how hard i should have to push to move the belt down... maybe it's fine, sometimes i hear what might be a little slippage as AC kicks on at idle... perhaps that's an issue?
anyway, when changing pulleys/belts on cars, to compress the shock, i have to line up the rod inside the shock otherwise it tends to get stuck at an angle. this looks weird, but it is this way on both cars, is this normal??
