i just bought a 300k aero which i plan to tear down and rebuild along with a 5speed conversion. my interior is great and the body is in fair condition. not great by any means of the word but its fair.
since TCS isnt screwed up at this point i am paranoid that it will screw up in the near future and i really wouldnt mind having the ablity to exesively spin the tires at will. not sayin that i want TCS gone so i could do burnouts i just dont want the car to think it is smarter then me. at this point i am very interested in getting rid of it. i kinda feel that the TCS off switch is a bandaid. i see 2 solutions that i prefer.
solution #1 involves switching to 91 9kt wiring. honestly i prefer solution #2 but this would get rid of TCS. i just dont really like the idea of losing 2 years of technology.
solution #2 is that i do what one of my friends did and use 94 wiring. his particular car is currently a stock engine (rebuilt) A/t that will outpreform most 5 speeds. this worked out pretty good for him so i favor this option but i would have to hunt down parts as oppose to solution 1 where i have access to a dead 91 9kt.
could you guys give me your opinions on what you thinkk is the best option
TIA
JP
