My data are only two points on the statistics. Both happened on my 95cse. The first time I switched one from my wrecked 94cs n/a. It ran from 100k until wrecked at 176k on the cs. My guess is it was the original. If it is, it ran 76k+69K=145k miles. (I bought the engine at 69k miles.) A month into the switch the 95cse developed hesitation at highway speed. Found two coils leaked upon removal. So I switched back to the DI which came with the 95cse. It failed within a month stranded me in the local Pepboy parking lot. Don't know how many miles that one is. I bought the car at 110k miles. Drove about 10k miles more when it failed.
I would say it is crap shoot.
