"When doing some dyno runs on my old CSE with NGK Platinums in heat range "7", I got a tiny fraction less power than with the standard plugs (not significant, but certainly not a huge gain or anything). That sounds right - presumably the idea of the Platinums or Iridiums is longer life, without adjustment.
Finally, I've read that if using Platinums on the 9000 you should go for the "6" heat range not "7" as with the standard plug. Once again, don't know if that applies to Iridium plugs."
OK, now I am confused! The stock plug for SAAB 9000 2.3 is BCPR"7"ES-11. Now you say that you have seen power drops using "7" heat range STANDARD Heat range plugs in dynoing a 9000 CSE. So what do you recomend in a STANDARD NGK plug BCPR"6"ES-11???
