Would Bad 02 sensor cause no start?

Just finished putting a new balance shaft sprocket and balance chain tensioner on my 91 9k w/194k. It needed it badly. On test drive, the check engine light came on and then went off and then came on again. I had a loose hose from the turbo to the intercooler, so I figured that was it. Next morning, I get in the car and nothing. No start, but will crank. I check here for no start diagnoses. Fuel pump works by jumping the fuses 14 to 22. Spark plugs smell like gas. Fuel relay clicks when trying to start, so I'm guessings it's not the crank sensor, which I had to remove. Do DI cassettes sometimes "just die" without warning--every one of the coils? Any other suggestions? I had to remove the o2 sensor, also, and the exhaust from the turbo. I had to spray some anti rust stuff on there. I was wondering if I might have damaged the 02 sensor. Comments? Thanks all!
