As others have said, a bad O2 won't cause a no start. The O2 sensor doesn't even get looked at until the engine has been running for a few minutes.
As to CPS- At a minimum, even with a bad CPS I'd think the engine would catch and then die. The CPS doesn't kill fuel flow until a little bit in. The DI starts sparking immediately to start the car AND to determine where the valve train is - The CPS doesn't tell you that, as it only measures crankshaft revolutions.
The best test is a DI test. Pull out the DI and flip it over. Put four good spark plugs into the boots. With some clip leads, connect the grounds of each spark plug together and to ground (the engine block will do.) It is CRITICAL that all four boots have spark plugs and that ALL four plug bodies are grounded. The crank the engine and see if the plugs spark. If they do, then it isn't the DI. No spark, assume a DI issue. This test may seem silly, but it is the approved Saab test, and there is even a Saab special tool to ground all four plugs (just clip leads).
