like the piston rings (both compressor and turbine), the circlips, compressor house (esp where the piston ring goes in), o-ring(s) etc... Also, keep in mind that you will feel some play if there's no oil in the turbo as the oil takes up some slack. Pour some oil into the oil supply hole while turning the impeller. Turning the impeller too much with no oil can result in another rebuid in the not too distant future. A tip when disassembling is to mark the location of the compressor house and turbine house before opening it up. That way it'll be in the right position when putting the turbo back into the car. Also, use a sharp small chisel to mark the position of the compressor wheel on the axle before you remove the compressor wheel (ok, ok I know it's an impeller :). This help keeping things in balance. Also, use a T-handle when removing the compressor whee... uhh impeller. Using a wrench or ratchet etc... will most likely round off the bolt. Hold the axle still by using a good bench vise but only grip the very end "knob", not the turbine. Sorry David, there is no bolt on the turbine end. That's all I have time for now...
