Before there was any financal arrangement between the two companies, Saab used GM power steering components in their 99 series and 900 series cars. I can't pinpoint the exact date, but I think my 1974 99 had no power steering, and I am sure my 1981 900 had one made by General Motors. I believe it was arround 1976 when they started putting it the 99's but it could be as late as 1978.
