Reading this thread has made me think of this situation the other day. I ended up being parked right next to a malibu maxx and decided that since i've been claiming they are a rip off of a 9000 that i'd compare the two and heres what i found.

Exterior
The car has a slightly higher waist line than the 9000 and the front end is the only part that really differs. Other than that the malibu maxx is a dead look a like to a 3rd gen 9k without a spoiler.

Inside
Ok so there is no comparison here, 9k interior tons better but it looks like the same interior proportions and even the instrument cluster in the dash is set up the same minus a turbo gauge.

Maybe the 9000 will make it back into the lineup with a bit of c900 blending since the big thing in american motor company's is retro look right now. I would love to see a 9k c900 look mix. 9000 capacity, front opening c900 hood, 2 door coupe, and a better transmission please. Which god do i have to pray for that. The only other thing that would make this better is the return of a B234 in stronger fashion and GM supporting companies like maptun and Jak accross the whole brand.

I say the b234 cause i'm not a fan of how the b235 seems like it took a step backward and I don't like T7 getting in the way of the throttle. I like my direct linkage to the throttle and no tcs. Let the system react to me not premptively act. If anything, T7 should leave the throttle body alone but take what it reads and begin pumping fuel in to match throttle posistion. I like big torque spike and turbo rush. Loved the power when i had a chance to drive the new 9-3ss but didn't like the pedal feel and response. Couldn't stomp and smile as i put it.
