Thanks so much everyone! Perhaps I should clarify: (a) The Saab dealership service folks told me it was NOT worth buying the part from them and that I should check online - hence my having found all of you. They were not trying to sell me a new car, they didn't charge me anything for the diagnosis, and they have helped me in the past so I'm not unhappy with them. But I might try the recommended Skokie place next time. (b) I may not be using the right words to explain things. The blower works fine at all temperature settings. But I'm only getting HOT air blown on the "HI" setting. On any other temperature setting, it blows, but cold air. And may I ask you to clarify - Burt, the idea of getting the part (free or at a reasonable cost) is a dream come true. Bill and Yaofeng, did I not explain the problem well or do you disagree with Burt's recommendation of the specific part? I appreciate the help very much. Judith
