they are not the same, the outdoor sensor is just a small black sensor that is located behind the license plate, it is clipped onto a bracket inside the chin spoiler, you shuld be able to see it by looking through the vent holes under the chin spoiler, it should be neer the license plate on one side or the other.
the interior temp sensor is located in the dash next to the steering column. if you have heated seats it is under the switches, if not you have a series of "plugs" next to the steering column by your keys, and one of them has round cutouts looking like a target. that is the sensor, it has a fan motor inside which pulls the air into the sensor, this motor usually quits. to get to it you need to pull out the radio or climate control head and the sensors unplugs from the dash from the inside, just pop it out, you can try to clean it and see if the motor spins, if not you need a new one.
