Well, I have a '93 9000 Aero, and plan to keep it a long time. When it is time to replace it, I'll look for a 9-5 Aero Wagon, with a stick. Probably a 2002 or newer, but I don't care too much for the '06 styling. Another option would be a well-cared-for Viggen.
I like BMW's too, but I feel that I can get a lot more car in a used Saab that in a used BMW (price-wise). Perhaps, when the 9-3 range comes with AWD, and they are coming down in price on the used market, I'd look into a 9-3SC Aero (Or whatever they decide to call it by then... but that is speculation).
Top choice: '05 9-5 Aero Wagon with a 5-spd and those beautiful BBS wheels. Probably Steel Grey on charcoal, but other color combos would work.
I know of one family in CO who has 3 Aeros...
