Congrats on taking it on. I did it last year on my 97CS and found it a great DIY project(my first clutch/slave replacement job ever). The only hitches in the process I found were.......
Getting that %#$%$&^%*& tapered pin out of the shift shaft between the transm and the firewall. I finally used an air tool attachment that has a point and pushed it against the small bolt end to vibrate it out. Dumb engineering that.
Getting the transm/differential mated into the engine drivetrain while lining up the bellhousing needs 4 hands IMHO...kinda tricky, anyone with a trick here?
Two suggestions number all undercarriage bolts on the head with the same # next to it on the structure(black magic mkr)...makes it easy to put right bolt in right location. The other is make sure you carefully note how the release bearing and dust cvr/bellows is oriented before removal to get at slave.
You will have fun, its two full days,
Dana
