If its high mileage, you probably want to replace the rear main seal and if there is any doubt as to the condition of the flywheel (as in your case, where the clutch has been spinning up a lot)you want to have it cut at a machine shop. Use thread sealer (not thread locking compound) on the flywheel bolts.
If you have tranny with a hook on it, this makes tranny removal a one man job, a piece of cake. The hook is offset slightly so it will twist the tranny just enough so it clears everything during remaoval and installation. A simple yet elegant bit of engineering on Saab's part
Be sure to tighten two nuts against each other on all the tranny mount studs and then torque the studs to spec. If the studs are loose, they will pull out and strip the threads when you tighten the nuts on them during final mating of the tranny to motor.
Keep track of the subframe fasteners, there are a bunch of them and they are all different sizes. I took a paper sized piece of cardboard, sketched the subframe on it and punched the bolts through the cardboard at the appropriate place to keep track of them.
Make sure all fasteners are perfectly clean, run the critical ones, like flywheel bolts and pressure plate mounting bolts through a tap or die to clean them up, use oil on all threads and use a torque wrench.
