...is there a complaint about the effectiveness in your 9000 headlights? I find that the standard issue ones are quite effective in the 91 and on models, although there does seem to be something off with the 98 in our fleet.
I frequent BMW boards for my 535i, and it seems every other post is about "upgrading" to HIDs and angel eyes. But from the factory, HIDs were designed as complete units. Lots of surprises may lie in store if you start putting HID bulb systems in non-HID lenses, just for one example.
Then there's the risk of cooking your wiring harnesses.
My main concern after all this would be what you're doing to oncoming drivers. If you're using Halogen designed lenses you may be blinding them.
Just something to think about.
