Greetings, Aerovistes'
I have owned most and have to say, "horses for courses." For the ultimate hotrod, the early body with the late engine tweeks. For luxury, got to be the '98 CSE. We currently have a modified 'Aero-prototype '90 5-speed, a '95 Aero auto, and a '98 CSE auto. The '90 with the red box APC, Borla stainless exhaust 16" Aero wheels and Bilstein suspension, is by far the sportiest feeling around town. The '95 with 225/50 tires is the high-speed canyon carver and the '98 is the luxo cruiser.
The wife's daily driver is a '05 9-5 standard issue, as she felt the 17" Aero combo was just too rough and fragile for winter driving. It the first non-Aero model we have owned and it takes about half the Saabness out of the experience.
thnx, jv
