I installed an MBC and found I could boost about 10-12 psi without drama in my 1995 CS LPT. Stock base boost on my car was about 8 psi. You hit overboost protection around 1 bar, 14.5 psi. I installed a CSE ECU and found I could go higher, but turned the boost back to around 12psi and like it there. Without the BCV on a hot day and with some bad gas I heard some ping, so I turned the boost back until I can be bothered to install a BCV.
