Go to a pick and pull with a grinder and cut out everything from the front of the roofline to the bottom of the window including the ENTIRE pillar assemblies on both sides. You will be left with a giant rectangular circle of metal. Brace it to prevent it from bending. Get it all blasted and give that to the body shoppe. That will save them time and you money. It also ensures proper construction and intact weld free A-pillars. That ensures strength IF they weld to your car properly.
You might want to ask the body shoppe first just how much of the A-pillar area they will want, as they might want you to take half the firewall so they have something good and flat to weld to. Make sure they don't use butt joints, as those are weak and prone to failure.
Best,
C
