I was talking about "just enough" WD-40 between the throwout bearing and splines to see if this is the problem noise.I think this has a hydraulic slave,so the bearings are in the back side and you can't really wash any grease away.Just a quick shot!!! If the bearing hasn't been releasing all the way then it been running with the engine and sometimes the pressure hide the noise.You should be able to see it and try to turn it to see if its released.Its helps to have a mechanic's stethoscope/WWW.HarborFreightusa.com/These are on sale NOW!(lot no. 41966)Only a dollar ninetynine/$1.99/Reaches 11-3/4".
