I think the fuel mixture is OK because the sparkplugs appear to have the right coating, crystallized copper colour on the ceramic center, but the outside ring is quite black and I am not sure if that indicates something. I have been checking and gap on the plugs frequently with this problem, also replaced what appear to be good plugs. However, when the P0300 code gets thrown, at which time the car dies, the long term fuel trim is high, in the mid 30 even had 42. That is why I tried crossing pin 14 and 22, which had a marginal improvement. It prevented it from stalling but certainly not drivable.
I have swapped DI from the other 9000 in the family with no success. That makes me think the problem is up stream.
I have been to the relays a couple of times and swapped the main, as well as the fuel pump relays with others in the box. If the alternator is not the problems, then I think the problem should be in the relay box. The main relay has to do with fuel pump and the injectors, so perhaps it’s a connection there.
Thanks Ari,
