Just Installed Kumhos - Not very happy!

After reading the tire posts I decided to give the Kumho Ecsta ASX a try on my '98 CSE (205/55-16), replacing Conti Contact Extremes which didn't wear well. I just drove up to Wheels America in Philly to have all four wheels reconditioned and took the tires with me to have mounted (Chris the manager was super). The drive back to DC was very disconcerting. At 35psi the tires are very vague. Every steering input required a counter. Lots of fishtailing. I didn't think it was possible for my CSE to feel so unpredictable. The 150 miles to DC wasn't quite white knuckle but it wasn't relaxing either. I'm going to try 38psi as soon as they cool down. Anyone have any experience like this??
