I've got a 92 9k CD with 131,400mi. I was having problems with the cooling system and have pretty much replaced everything. It has been a nightmare. My main problem, the upper radiator hose is extremely tight and pressurized after driving the car. So tight you can hardly squeeze it. It was never like this before. Is it normal? My temp is higher than it used to be too. Looks like it is stretching the hose some it is so tight. I've put 4k on car since this has started.

I had to replace the radiator b/c where upper hose connected there was a hairline crack. I've used all OEM. New radiator, lower hoses, thermo, upper rad hose and temp sending (for dash gauge.) Well, the car used to run around 1/2 mark. Winter it would run a bit about 1/4 and Summer 1/2 to 3/4. Now, even at 75 degree night the temp is around 3/4 and during hot 95 degree days it stays way up at 3/4. Car hasn't run hot and is holding pressure in system and isn't losing fluid. I went through 2 thermos b/c was in a hurry and used cheap aftermarket at first, replaced with OEM from eeuro and still no luck. My big concern is that upper rad hose being so tight. Also, the hose has the built in a/c temp switch (cuts a/c off if overheats)
