This past week I have two problems that may or may not be related. 1st, the idle on my car ('95 9000 Aero 5spd stage 3) goes crazy when it is warming up. When I first start it the idle is fine but just as the engine temp guage starts to register that the engine is warming up, the idle fluctuates between 1500 and 3000 rpms, sometimes getting stuck around 2500 and very slowly goes down - occasionally generating a CEL. I pull the car over and turn it off for about 30 seconds. When I re-start it the problem is gone. The problem only seems to happen when the temp needle first starts to move up. I had this same problem about 6 months ago. I replaced the MAP sensor and got a new battery and the problem went away, but unfortunately it is back.

The other problem is with my turbo. When it is still cold the boost is fine. When the engine is warm the turbo hessitates upon acceleration. It holds just before the yellow but if I keep on the throttle it will eventually boost well into the red, suddenly throwing me back into my seat. It is as if the car wants nothing to do with base boost - just the big stuff. The turbo guage does not want to be in the yellow, just the black or the red.

Anybody have any ideas? The car has a new MAP Sensor, new PCV valve, new battery, new (rebuilt) throttle body, new fuel pump, all new TCS components and the vacuum hoses are silicon and seem to be fine. I also cleaned all the grounds and re-seated the ECU. I cleaned my BPC valve with liquid wrench. That seemed to help slightly with the turbo problem but not by much. I'm at a loss!
