Car turns over normally but does not start. Often acts like it is going to catch but then immediately quits. All dash lights appear normal. I had previously bypassed the anti-theft computer due to failure - checked that jumper is intact. Verified voltages on fuel pump relay and fuse 14 are correct. Direct wired battery 12V to fuse 14 and fuel pump runs continuously. Fuel pump runs for a couple of seconds when you first turn on ignition. Spark plugs indicate fuel is present. Spare DI did not make any difference. I have verified that the engine coolant temp sensor was reading 7.75K (OK). TCS safety valve resistance measures around 28 ohms. It appears to be an electrical problem. Prior to this hard failure, car had been somewhat difficult to start, often taking two tries and then would run rough for about 5-10 seconds. Car had also started better when the outside temperature was colder (below freezing). Have had periodic infrequent issues with starting up in limp mode that are difficult to clear.
