No I have not replaced the safety valve. Stubborn me, I test the valve by jumping it to the battery and checking that it is operating correctly by blowing into the ports - it seems to work fine. I don't want to spend $100 for a part and find out it wasn't the problem. I have another one and I will give that one a try, it also measures 28 ohms, but maybe it is bad also. With a bad safety valve, I still thought the car would at least start (in limp mode). If the main relay/CPS check is negative, maybe I will bite the bullet and buy another one.
The TCS light always comes on when I try to start the car, along with the ABS light. They generally extinguish after the car runs for about 10 seconds. On those rare occasions when the car starts in limp mode, then the TCS light stays on.
