A couple of possibilities - one would be the anti-theft system; another would be the car just doesn't want to start.
Why do you assume it's the anti-theft? One easy way to tell - what is the LED on the top of the dashboard by the speak grille doing? If it is off, then the problem isn't the anti-theft system. If it is flashing, to quote from the electrical manual:
"...the system can ALWAYS be reset to the deactivated condition by turning the key in the driver's door from the neutral position to the unlocked position three times within two seconds."
That should turn the alarm (and light) off.
Now, if the light isn't flashing, let's talk about not starting.
What isn't not starting (curious question). Does the engine turn over but not catch? Does the engine not turn over (starter doesn't spin?) When you turn the key to the ON position but don't try and start the car, do you see any dash lights (ABS, Brake Fluid, Battery, etc.)? When you turn the key to start, what do (or don't) you hear? Is the battery dead?
Let's go from there...
