Ray, this is fixable with a little elbow grease and time. You need to open each of the doors and clean the mechanism that locks the doors, make sure every piece is happy and not binding.

Bet you have the problem more on cold days or evenings that warm/hot days? one of my 9000s did this too. wife would unlock drivers door, start the car and drive down the road only to have the other three doors "unlock by themselves" as she put it. What was happening was they were finishing up unlocking.... then on the lock cycle they would not lock, she did the manual push the buttons thing, later in the day when nice and warm all four pop up and down like they are supposed to do...

careful cleaning will fix that. getting a remote only actuates the switch via a remove instead of the key, issues with dirty door guts remaings. you can *order* a new key from the dealer, they use the VIN to get the correct one built.

you can purchase the fob(s) on some bay and get them programmed with a TECH-2 at the dealer or indy that has a TECH-2. Well worth the Hour or less to do that at their rate, unless you live in Southern California, then I can do it for you.
