Turbos are easy to rebuild??? Can that be true? Do all of those overheated bolts just come loose? I own and love a 1995 CS(T) and a 1997 Aero; both 5spds. Suddenly the CS makes the Aero feel like a Pinto (Pintos are very highly engineered cars of the 70s for any new people to the planet. Buy one and have a life explosion. Or maybe a trunk explosion... I forget which it was about the Pinto.) Long story short, no turbo boost in the Aero.
I read endless pages about rebuilding turbos and even converting nonturbo 1800cc-2600cc 4cyl. cars to turbo. Now I want to turbo charge my 1990 Isuzi Amigo. The early Amigo is another AMAZING vehicle (like the 9000; not the Pinto)but with only 120HP. That 120hp will allow the Amigo to do everything short of climb a tree, surprisingly.
1) Has anybody here rebuilt their TDO4?
2) Will the Isuzu motor just be confused by the pressure? How do I get oil to the turbo from the 2.6L Amigo engine? I think I can handle all of the inlet/exhaust fabrication (I design/produce tow hitches) and I can plumb the water cooling. Any help would be great.
