I punched "switch manufacturers" into Google, found a LIST of them in alphabet order, scrolled to the M section and began clicking on them. Marquardt, based in Germany, has the little m in a circle logo that appears on my defective hatch latch sensor switch.
Marquardt has three factories in Germany, one in Switzerland, one in I think Rumania, one in Spain, one in Tunisia, also India, China, and US (Cazenovia, NY).
It's one of their 1022 series of snap action microswitches but the on-line product table doesn't list mine, 1022.6745. Neither English language nor auf Deutsch.
So I've come to sort of a dead end.
I guess I'll go the junkyard route to get my replacement, as there are exactly zero reports on this bulletin board from other 9000 owners with a similar defective switch. That says to me that a junkyard car should have a perfectly good switch in it and it's almost guaranteed to never go bad on me either.
