I run PIAA 520 ATP lights above the bumper and they are good driving lights. Pencil beams are worth thinking about. Yellow fog lights are the way to go as opposed to white fog lights. I may install yellow fog lights under the bumper.
Standard US spec headlights are barely useful and should be trashed. Replace with Eurospec lights and use H4 bulbs of your choice. I use an extra wiring harness, but this might be overkill. The other measures just tend to be halfway until one installs these lights.
