Well, the bizarre behavior continues with my 9000.
The latest-
This morning, after a cool night (~30oF), at about 32oF the car cranks and cranks and would not start. I had to be at a meeting at work so I took my daughter's (away at college) car. Tonight, I got home from work and was all set to run through Ari's no-start procedure/check (which I did last Sunday and found nothing definitive). Before I begin, I decide I will confirm that the car still won't start, but it DOES, after sitting all day in the sun. Not only did it start, but it started perfectly - no spitting and sputtering at all. It started right up on the first try.
Tomorrow morning, I'll get up early and if it doesn't start, I will walk through Ari's no-start test procedure again. It's definitely temperature related. Didn't do this at all during the summer and throughout Sept.
Can someone also tell me whether the engine temp sensor is located and how to check it?? (Not the coolant temp sensor). And does the trionic fuel injection system utilize a cold start injector?
Thanks,
Todd inMA
