To start with, if your '91 has TCS it would be the 1st '91 I've ever
heard of that came with it.
Pretty dreadful stuff that TCS - and compared with fixing computer
and electronics ills in a '93 TCS car the $1000 ETS throttle body
would be a very easy fix.
I've had TCS cars and my bottom-line advice is UNLESS you are a TCS
wiz yourself and/or have a source of the electronics that ONLY fit a
'93 and no other year, stay clear of that model/year.
I currently still own a '91 5sp and I would say that with the
exception of the '94 non-TCS 9Ks that the '91s are the cream of the
crop (it took me 2 years just to find mine !).
Mine gave me 3+ years of pleasurable service and I hope it will give
plenty more to it's next owner when I find one for it.
I will be sad to sell it, but I can only keep one car and my daily
driver is now a non-TCS '94 Aero.
